POOF! My husband went to town after the base work was finished and

all of a sudden we had a basement framed in one day!

And then floor trusses all in 1 day's work!

And then a floor sheeted.....all in 1 day's work!

OK, the trend stops here, the exterior walls took a few more days but

they were all up within the week!! And as you can see our house finally takes shape!

WOW!! Now we're not looking so bad, cleaned up and ready to build!

The groundbreaking of the hole which will soon be our home!

I surprised my husband one day and completed a whole layer of our ICF's all by MYSELF!

Who knew I could use a maniac saw, bend/lay rebar, and set forms?!

Of coarse there was no one to take a picture to prove it :(

 Here's a few pictures to give you a VAGUE idea of the literal "mess" we got ourselves into!!

And this was just one area of MANY that were overloaded with.....well, trust me- you don't even want to know......knee dead in sh** is an understatement!

Reception Change

Brian and I had originally planned to have a casual outdoor reception in New Ulm at the Flying Dutchmen Club, however, after the planning process started we realized how much work and stress it was going to be on our families, friends', and ourselves. Therefore, we have changed the reception site to Johnson Hall in St. Peter- a happy medium between New Ulm and Le Center. The date will remain the same as we already had catering and a band in place, so can't wait to see everyone May 22, 2010 at Johnson Hall!!

We're getting married!

Brian proposed last January on New Year's Eve. We've been working away at wedding plans and as most of you know we're getting married in MEXICO :) We are very excited- so far we have almost 40 friends and family making the trek to Riviera Maya to celebrate in the sun with us!
